Yuki the onigiri is a rice ball with a face, shaped from clay that dries by itself. The kit asks children to:
- Start from a simple ball and add the details
- Use their fingers rather than tools
- Concentrate on one small object at a time
- Set it aside and come back once it is hard
- Collect a character to sit beside the others
