This Privacy Policy is intended to inform users of the Site about how SARL Eeny Meeny Monaco collects and processes their personal data when using the Site, creating a customer account, placing online orders for in-store collection, communicating with customer service and, where applicable, receiving marketing communications.

SARL Eeny Meeny Monaco places great importance on the protection of personal data and undertakes to process such data in accordance with the regulations applicable in the Principality of Monaco. Monaco’s law on the protection of personal data was modernised by Law No. 1.565 of 3 December 2024.

2. Personal Data Collected

We may collect the following categories of data:

  • identity data: surname, first name;
  • contact details: email address, telephone number, billing address;
  • order information: products ordered, amount, order date, order number;
  • collection information: name of the person collecting the order, date and time of collection;
  • customer account data: login details, order history, preferences;
  • communications with our customer service team;
  • technical and browsing data: IP address, browser type, device used, pages viewed, cookies and trackers, subject to the choices expressed;
  • payment-related data, it being specified that bank card data is processed mainly by our secure payment provider Payplug;
  • customers’ children’s birthdays;
  • customer reviews relating to products and the company: name of the person submitting the review, email address;
  • favourite products list;
  • newsletter sign-up with collection of email address;
  • gift list data: name of the person submitting the list, name of the person for whom the list is intended, event date.

3. Purposes of Processing

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • managing your browsing on the Site;
  • creating and managing your customer account;
  • processing and confirming your orders;
  • collecting online payments;
  • organising collection of your order in store;
  • handling requests, complaints, returns or refunds;
  • ensuring the accounting and administrative follow-up of sales;
  • preventing fraud and securing the Site and transactions;
  • sending marketing communications, where you have consented when required;
  • allowing our customers to benefit from promotional and commercial offers linked to particular events they have shared with us;
  • measuring Site traffic and improving our services;
  • managing customer reviews published on the Site;
  • managing the benefits, rewards and advantages linked to the loyalty programme;
  • sending reminders in the event of an abandoned basket;
  • offering personalised communications and offers, in particular based on your purchases, browsing activity or interactions with the Site;
  • complying with our legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the circumstances, your data is processed on one of the following legal bases:

  • the performance of pre-contractual measures or of the contract, in particular for the creation of your customer account, the processing and confirmation of your orders, the collection of payments, the organisation of in-store collection, and the handling of requests relating to your purchases;
  • compliance with our legal obligations, in particular regarding invoicing, accounting, retention of certain information and, where applicable, responding to requests from the competent authorities;
  • our legitimate interest, in particular in ensuring the security of the Site, preventing fraud, managing customer reviews, improving our services, gaining a better understanding of how the Site is used and administering our loyalty programme;
  • your consent, where required, in particular for sending newsletters, certain marketing messages, the use of cookies that are not strictly necessary, and certain personalised advertising or audience measurement operations.

5. Recipients of the Data

Your data may be disclosed, within the limits of their respective responsibilities and where necessary, to the following recipients:

  • authorised members of the SARL Eeny Meeny Monaco team;
  • Shopify, as the technical platform hosting and operating the online store;
  • Payplug, as the payment service provider;
  • Klaviyo, for the management of email marketing communications, including, where applicable, newsletters, abandoned basket reminders and promotional messages;
  • Meta and Google, where these services are used for analysis, audience measurement, communication or marketing purposes, subject to the settings chosen by the user and any required consent;
  • Loyoly, for the management of the loyalty programme and associated rewards;
  • Judge.me, for the management and publication of customer reviews;
  • Wishlist Plus, for the management of wishlists saved by users;
  • Gift Reggie, for the management of gift lists, where this functionality is used on the Site;
  • Search & Discovery, to improve product search, navigation and presentation on the Site;
  • our technical, IT, analytics, marketing, administrative or accounting service providers, where necessary for the operation of the Site and the management of our business;
  • certain service providers or technical subcontractors acting on our behalf, strictly to the extent necessary for the performance of their duties and subject to appropriate safeguards;
  • administrative or judicial authorities with jurisdiction, where required by law.

6. Transfers Outside Monaco

  • In connection with the use of the Site and the services associated with it, certain personal data may be transferred, hosted, processed or made accessible outside the Principality of Monaco, in particular by Shopify, Payplug, Klaviyo, Meta, Google, Loyoly, Judge.me, Wishlist Plus, Gift Reggie, Search & Discovery, as well as by certain of our other service providers or technical subcontractors acting on our behalf.
  • Such transfers may occur in particular where our hosting, payment, analytics, marketing, loyalty, customer review, wishlist, gift list or search optimisation providers store or process data from countries located outside Monaco.
  • Where such transfers take place, we ensure that they are governed in accordance with the applicable regulations, in particular through appropriate safeguards, such as suitable contractual clauses, or on the basis of any other mechanism recognised as appropriate under the applicable law.

7. Retention Periods

Your data is kept for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, and is then archived or deleted in accordance with the applicable regulations.

By way of indication:

  • data relating to an order: for the period necessary to manage the order, then archived for the applicable legal retention period;
  • customer account data: until the account is deleted by the user or, failing that, after 12 months of inactivity;
  • marketing prospecting data: until consent is withdrawn, the individual objects, or after 12 months with no interaction with our communications;
  • data relating to requests sent to customer service or after-sales service: for the time necessary to process the request, then kept for 12 months;
  • technical data and cookies: depending on their nature and for the period specified in our Cookie Policy.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to preserve the security, integrity and confidentiality of your personal data. However, as no system offers absolute security, we cannot guarantee complete security for all data transmissions or storage.

9. Your Rights

Subject to the conditions laid down by the applicable regulations, you have in particular the following rights:

  • right of access;
  • right to rectification;
  • right to erasure;
  • right to restriction of processing;
  • right to object;
  • right to data portability, where applicable;
  • right to withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on that consent.
